Outbound From Process Control Networks
The emergence of cybersecurity threats to critical infrastructure has led to the rapid adoption of secure inter-network communication systems. The security and reliability of control systems are under stress – a broad range of applications (sensor data, data points from real-time database historians, etc.) must be shared among a diverse group of users outside the highly secure core control space. Sharing information – from control to business networks -- while protecting the networks developing it, are parallel objectives for operators.
Couple this with the need to comply with rigorous security standards (NIST standards, NERC-CIP requirements, etc.). Half of vulnerabilities relate to OS hardening (or lack thereof). Owl OPDS products, and other Owl perimeter defense solutions, prevent external access to Critical Cyber Assets (CDA), and present hardened operating systems for self-protection.
These Owl solutions address the needs for outbound secure transfer from process control.
