CDS Performance Monitoring

Owl Performance Management Service (OPMS) enables users to remotely monitor performance and application status for Owl cross domain solutions. Providing a web-based interface to monitor and display this log file information, OPMS allows privileged administrators the ability to oversee the health and effective throughput of a single cross domain deployment, multiple application instances on a single CDS, or multiple discrete CDSs. Logged performance data, such as transferred file count, average rate of transferred file bytes, total transferred bytes, are among the statistics that OPMS can display. System-related errors, as well as logged application errors can be processed and displayed, as well. OPMS supports the remote monitoring of Owl ScanFile Management System (OSMS), Directory/File Transfer System (DFTS), and Remote File Transfer Service (RFTS). OPMS functionality for other Owl applications, and non-Owl cross domain deployments, are in development.

OPMS Operation
The original log file of the CDS application instance is replicated to the remote OPMS platform. OPMS makes the processed information available to an Apache web server on the OPMS remote platform, formatting the data to a graphical web interface, for viewing via standard web browsers(IE6+,Mozilla).
