Owl Computing Technologies® Granted US Patent
for Innovative One-Way Data Verification System
Early 2011 Plans for Owl Acknowledgement Engine Commercialization
 
Ridgefield, Connecticut, December 13, 2010 -- Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., the premier source for secure, reliable, fast, one-way information sharing, has been granted US Patent 7,675,867 for a “One-Way Data Transfer System with Built-in Data Verification Mechanism.” The Patent Office award occurred in Q1 2010. Owl is now commercializing the technology, and will bring it to general availability early in Q1 2011 as the Owl Secure Acknowledgement Engine OSAE. The patent concept, realized in the commercial product, satisfies users sending information across Owl Cross Domain Solutions with assurance on the reception & status of the one-way data transfers. This acknowledgement information is completely independent of the one-way data transfer and cannot compromise the transfer solution’s integrity.

For organizations designated US critical infrastructure, the Owl Secure Acknowledgement Engine provides process control operators with assurance that information sent out to lower security business networks has been successfully received – without opening an inbound path for malicious code or malware. For Owl government customers, OSAE enables acknowledgements from higher security domains to lower security access networks, assuring senders that data has been received for analysis & action.
