Ridgefield, Connecticut, August 25, 2011 – Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., the premier source for cross domain information sharing and electronic IT perimeter defense, has been granted US Patent 7,992,209, “Bilateral Communication Using Multiple One-Way Links,” dated August 2, 2011. Such a bilateral data transfer system, with separate links subject to separately administered security policies, enable secure bilateral communications between networks of different security levels.

“One-way data transfer assures reliable protection for high security networks,” said Dr. Ron Mraz, Owl Computing President & CTO. “When network users require 'dual highway' communications with resources in a different security environment, the Owl products based on this patent will deliver one-way protection for secure information transfer in both directions. And each data flow direction will be constrained by its own application-specific security policy. Customers will now seamlessly and safely request and collect the data they need to meet mission objectives.”

Ron continued: “With this patent in-hand, we plan to incorporate these capabilities in Owl enterprise services cross domain solutions, and in a new member of our family of integrated CDS appliances.”

Owl will have bilateral communications systems available for customer evaluation in Q4 2011, with general availability targeted for Q1 2012.
