at 8th Annual Owl Computing Cross Domain Forum
Cyber Threats & Cybersecurity to be Central Themes

Ridgefield, Connecticut, January 30, 2012 – Owl Computing Technologies, Inc. the premier source for securing networks from cyber threats, holds its annual forum on network security based around cross domain solutions (CDS) as a key defense-in-depth component, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Vienna VA. Mr. Joel Brenner, joelbrenner.com, former senior counsel at the US National Security Agency and author of America the Vulnerable (published September 2011) will be keynote speaker at the day-long event of cybersecurity presentations, and demonstrations of leading-edge CDS solutions.

At the National Security Agency, Mr. Brenner advised on legal and policy issues relating to network security. Previously, he had served as the national counterintelligence executive in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and as NSA inspector general. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A.), The London School of Economics (Ph.D.), and Harvard Law School (J.D.). Joel currently practices law in Washington, D.C., specializing in cybersecurity and related issues.

“We are pleased that Mr. Brenner will join us at this year’s Owl Cross Domain Forum,” said Ron Mraz, Owl founder & CTO. “His experience in the US Intelligence community coupled with the thought-provoking perspectives raised in his America the Vulnerable will set the tone for discussions during the forum, and will give forum attendees and Owl staff much to digest thereafter. As one book reviewer has commented: Mr. Brenner’s book is ‘. . . an urgent wake-up call that identifies our foes; unveils their methods; and charts the dire consequences for government, business, and individuals.’ His background points the way toward how we may counteract the threat and right the imbalance.”

Join us at the 8th Annual Owl Cross Domain Forum, Wednesday, April 18, at the Sheraton Premiere, Vienna, VA. Reserve your seat: owldays@owlcti.com.
