Passes Rigorous MilSpec Transport Testing
Important Milestone for Deployment of Tactical CDS Downrange
 
Ridgefield, Connecticut, October 7, 2011 – Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., the premier source for secure, reliable, fast one-way information sharing, announces that the Owl 4.0SFF Cross Domain Solution (CDS) has successfully passed the Random Vibration and Loose Cargo Transportation Tests as defined in U.S. military specification MIL-STD-810F. As a single integrated device, Owl 4.0SFF is the latest addition of the Owl Computing suite of CDS platforms. It is designed to meet the secure information sharing needs of field-forward, tactical deployment – on land, sea, and in the air.

At 1U (1.75 inches) in height, the rackmountable Owl 4.0SFF contains all the elements of a full-blown cross domain solution – Send-only and Receive-only servers, connected via proprietary Owl DualDiode® hardware Communication Cards and a one-way fiber-optic link. With a security-policy constrained instance of the Linux operating system on each server, and role-based access to maintenance and CDS operation, Owl 4.0SFF enables absolute information assurance in mission-critical environments.

Other MilSpec tests are in the works to best characterize the robustness of Owl solutions for our client base.”
