Syslog (system logging) messages are a standardized method for network devices and processes to report to network administrators on problems or performance. As a standard, syslog can integrate log event data from many different types of systems into a central repository. The Owl Computing patent award confirms how syslog traffic can be securely transferred across Owl DualDiode® Technology, for analysis and subsequent administrative actions.
